William Thompson

William is a loyal and trusted advisor with decades of experience in corporate, commercial and real estate law. William anticipates his client’s needs and provides them with a clear path to success. He takes disparate facts and turns them into an executable plan for his clients. A great lawyer needs to be hands-on and must care about their clients and William proves that each and every day.  William is keen on finding solutions, not simply identifying problems.

William’s focus is on the business of land development law. He handles all matters related to financing, acquisition, limited partnerships, joint ventures, co-ownerships, and other finance-focused development law matters. William also has extensive experience in all areas of business and real estate law including acquisitions, divestitures, shareholder agreements, and complex financing arrangements.

William has a deep understanding of his client’s needs. He knows that they need timely service so he makes himself readily available, and delivers a high-quality product every time.

William’s accomplishments go beyond the legal world. A national-level figure skater in his youth, he went on to stay in the field as an official culminating in judging at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. William took a break from law in 2007 and served as CEO of Skate Canada for 6 years, which included a great deal of involvement in the 2010 Winter Olympics where Canada won 2 medals in figure skating. Outside of the office, William likes to stay active and enjoys skiing, golf, and tennis.
