Michelle’s practice focuses on condominium law. She assists her clients with a range of condominium issues, including drafting and interpreting condominium documents, collecting common expense arrears, calling and chairing owners’ meetings, negotiating shared facilities disputes, and providing opinions on complex legal issues. She also helps her clients with mediations, arbitrations, tribunals, and court proceedings.
Michelle is involved with the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI), currently sitting on the board of directors for the Golden Horseshoe and London chapters. She is a frequent speaker at CCI events and regularly contributes to industry magazines. She received her ACCI designation in 2014.
As a condo owner, Michelle appreciates the benefits and challenges of condominiums. Her experiences as a condo owner have given her a new perspective on condo living, which has assisted her in crafting novel solutions to the practical problems faced by her clients.
Before joining Robson Carpenter LLP, Michelle operated her own firm for three years where she built a successful condominium practice. Prior to that she worked at a firm in Guelph for several years focusing on condominium law.
Outside of the office, you can find Michelle spending time with her two young sons and husband, or golfing, reading, or blogging about condo law.
