William is an experienced business and real estate lawyer with Robson Carpenter LLP. William’s practice is focused on condominium, subdivision and land development law. William works with clients in all aspects of real estate matters including acquisition, financing and development of land.
William also has extensive and broad experience in all aspects of business law and real estate law, including acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, shareholder agreements and complex financings and understands the needs of clients and assisting clients achieve their business goals.
William was raised in Kitchener-Waterloo and after practicing with a major Toronto firm for 4 years, practiced in the area for many years most recently as a partner of Craig’s in another regional law firm. From 2006 until 2012, William took a sabbatical from the practice of law to act as CEO of Skate Canada, the governing body for figure skating in Canada which included being in that position during the very successful 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, British Columbia where Canada won 2 medals in figure skating.
In addition to practicing law, William very much enjoys horseback riding, skiing and physical fitness.
